Eye Examination
We will diagnose, treat, and assess ocular health as well as determine if vision correction is needed.
Refraction – determines the appropriate lens power to compensate for nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism.
Patient History – checks your general health, medication usage, family history and symptoms, etc.
Eye Health Evaluation – to examine the external parts of your eye, including the cornea, eyelids, conjunctiva and surrounding eye tissue.
Annual eye examinations:
Annual eye exams are recommended as a part of preventative health care. Individuals can be unaware of problems because there are often no obvious signs or symptoms. It is important to detect and treat vision problems early in order to maintain good vision and eye health.
Why wear sunglasses?
The American Optometric Association suggests wearing sunglasses during the daylight hours because: They protect your eyes against the sun’s UV rays, which could otherwise lead to cataracts. They protect against “blue light” from the solar spectrum, which could increase your risk of macular degeneration.
